ielts speaking on same day or later?

I paid for the ecam on OCT 15th, i got an email which said I will receive info about the test centre and date 5 days before the exam - is this normal?

My exam is on 15th December.

Now the important question - I read somewhere(probably in an email) that candidates are allowed to take the speaking test 7 days before or after the exam date.

How accurate is this info?

I have maybe heard from Skype students having their speaking exam confirmed at short notice.

I have not heard about the possibility to choose 7 days before/after, that I can recall.

well let me reframe that so i get an accurate answer,one that i want...

are all 4 modules usually held on the same day or is speaking usually held on a different day?

I have often heard that the S may be on one day and the others 2 days later - perhaps sometimes all on one day.
