Hi,

I appeared for today IELTS i.e. 02-oct-2014 India Pune. Following were the writing topic for General:

Task -1

You saw an article in the local newspaper about a restaurant which the author had visited and did not like it and this is your favorite restaurant. Write to the author of this article.

Ask him what he didn't like about it.

What is that you like about that restaurant.

What is your recommendation to others about the restaurant.

Task-2

Some people think that they should be given the option to work from home. Review both advantages and disadvantages of working from home and give your opinion.

Note: I don't exactly remember the topic but it was some what like above. Hope this helps all.

Looks like we took the same exam set.

Listening test was a bit easier for me because I wrote down the answers on the questionnaire while I hear them instead of looking for their appropriate letters. Almost all key words and answers were paraphrased so you lose a lot of time trying to match them and you can match them later during transferring time.

I have to agree that the last reading passage was a bit tiresome because there were lots of filler that end up being answers to the next question set(and the exotic names lol).

Hi,

I appeared today 02-oct-2014 IDP India (G). I found the reading very easy and I finished it 10 min before time. I normally start from the last section because your mind is fresh. This really helps in finishing my reading test fast. If you start from the 1st section and the time you reach to the last section your mind is totally exhausted and stops responding.

This was my 6th attempt. Just to let you all know. I have already got the required band in my last attempt
i.e. L-7/R-7.5/W-7.5/S-7. Since I had already booked today's exam and I wouldn't have got any refund so I thought of appearing in the test. I was quiet relaxed and gave it with a free mind :)

Best of Luck to all.

No, she says she though she found jewellery but then it was refuted as being utensils or something. So it was fabric i think, although, i am pretty sure it was not jewellery.

Last one was also not A as the girl says, that in future, she wants to work with people from many nationalities as she has been working only with people from US and UK. The guy does say he worked with people from many nationalities. It was also not the last option which said young, as the girl says, she worked with people who were aged. the question was what both of them agreed upon right.
