DShould wealthy nations be allowed to share their wealth among poorer nations by providing such things as food and education? Or is it the responsibility of government of the poorer nations to look after their citizens.
It is not a new trend that richer countries have tried to help the less affluent ones in catering for some important needs of the underdog countries. There is controversy as to whom should bear this responsibility, the helper or the helped. In this essay I totally agree that the richer countries should help the poorer ones in catering for some responsibility.
In area such as food supply, under developed countries are faced with problems such as drought, scanty rainfall, starvation, malnutrition etc. It is the duty of the affluent nations to help provide food and also agricultural machinery to help curb problems with food shortage and hunger else the people in this region can come down with diseases such as kwashiorkor, marasmus etc. For example in regions such as northern Africa where most of the seasons are without rainfall and hence less farming activities, the developed countries can help by providing fertilizers, equipment to aid mechanized agriculture and hence aiding all round food production.
More so, some poor countries where less money Is been budgeted for education and hence quality of education reduced.it is the onus of the richer countries to help in supplementing the educational standard. This will help tackle all the bad omen lack of proper education come with, like unemployment, stealing, raping and other social vices to mention but a few. People oneday emigrate into the developed countries in search of better living in future. When this happens they can pollute these countries causing problems alike the ones mentioned above.
Hence, these developed countries could be the ones who will suffer from not taking good care of people in the past
All in all, there might not be all the total commitment from affluent countries in helping the poor ones .But more need to be done to make to make the world a better place for all of us. Rich countries should help the poor countries when needed.
