Actually I have had taken the same listening exam only last month ... I'm wonder if they repeat the same qustions around the world...

In 27 of June my listening exam was about a woman who want to rent a house for her family holiday

unwanted (Noise is unwanted sound)

i think it was only metres coz (s) is written ......away moreover instruction was answer should be in one word or a number so according to me answer was metres i may be wrong.......

In the case of 2 metres, the instruction was to use one word and/or a number notice the and/or so I think 2 metres was the correct answer because it is just a combination of a word and a number therefore no word limit exceeds here. Think friends ans share your views

WHAT I THINK ONLY Compound Words are considered AS ONE WORD IN IELTS EXAM (A compound word is a combination of two or more words that function as a single unit of meaning. )

2 METRES I don't think it is a compound word

gemfsd, u r right my answer was wrong i just write metres away

Thank you gemfsd, for your explanation on 2 metres.
Do you think 2-metre is also right answer ? as it is compound word.
