People often think about creating an ideal society, but most of the times fail in making this happen.
What is your opinion about an ideal society?
How can we create an ideal society?

The concept of ideal utopias and our failure to achieve them is as old as time itself. The idea in itself represents a paradox because the path to an ideal society most often requires means which are nowhere ideal. So, creating an ideal society in theory seems plausible but in reality is far more difficult.

In my opinion, the construct of an ideal society must include humane treatment of the poor. It should have strong laws to prevent maltreatment of the masses. Moreover, there should be a dependable social welfare system in place. Things like tolerance, education, universal healthcare and environmental protection should be the cornerstone of this society.

However, it is not easy to put all of this into practice for when it comes to the people of earth, the 'one size fits all' ideology just doesn't work. Due to varied cultures, races and religion, the differences in ideologies is evident and at times clashing with each other. In an ideal scenario, the first step would be letting go of racial prejudice and accepting of differences.

Furthermore, in our pursuit of peaceful co-existence we must be willing to unlearn a great many things that has been passed down to us by our previous generations like hate based on ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation to name a few.

Our vision for a more fairer and just world would remain a mere fantasy if we are not willing to change, because it is quite evident that social construct of today is not indictive of ideality. However, If we learn from our past mistakes and account our present in a just manner we may get a step closer to achieving a true utopia in the future.
