Task I

Post by Muxtar »

The graph below shows the proportion of the population aged 65 and over between 1940 and 2040 in the three different countries.

The line graph illustrates data about percentage of people aged 65 and more over a period of 100 years in Japan,Sweden,USA.
It can be clearly seen that aging population in all three countries increased steadily and this trend is expected to continue to rise in the future during the period shown. It is also noticeable that while the proportion of elderly people was lowest in the beginning of the period ,in Japan, figures for this nation will become highest at the end.
In 1940,the proportion of population aged 65 and more for USA was around just under 10,while figures for Sweden and Japan were lower,at approximately 7 and 5 respectively.By 2000,Both USA and Sweden had witnessed a steady growth in the number of aging people, but Japan saw same statistics as being in 1940.Statistics expect an increase in the percentage of people in Japan,Sweden and USA reaching at nearly 27,25 and 24 accordingly.
