early retirement vs fixed retirement age ... Mr. David please help to evaluate ...

Q- Some people think that having a set of retirement age *(65 years) for everybody, regardless of occupation is unfair . They believe that certain workers deserve to retire and receive a pension at an earlier age .
Do you agree or disagree/ Which type of workers do you think should benefit from early retirement ? Give reasons for your answers and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Retirement is a very crucial period for everybody's life. It is believed that employees are no longer qualified to do their job beyond certain age period. Therefore, many people assert that there should be a set age of retirement for everybody, while others believe that retirement age should have to be set in line with the professions that one is associated. Personally, I tend to agree with the later statement and the same will be discussed in following paragraphs.

To start with, admittedly, it is true that nature of the work differs from one field to another field and so as their duties and responsibilities. To illustrate this, a person working in a registrar office has to work for limited hours in a day, sitting in front of computer and doing entries into database. Hence, it is no surprise that such type of work doesn't demand early retirement and other benefits. Whereas, people working in army have to work for longer hours in a day, and their job demands extreme physical fitness as well. There is no doubt that with an increasing age, it is very hard to maintain overall physical fitness.

According to me laborers, workman's and public transport drivers should be excused from set retirement age. People working in such sectors requires high accuracy, complete concentration and full of energy to work for extended hours. A single mistake from them has very huge impact on the infrastructure and on the human beings. For example, public driver has to be very very careful and needs good eyesight while driving as it can cause serious problems otherwise. It is a wise decision, in that case, to give early retirement to such field servants.

From what has been discussed above, I strongly believe that retirement age must not be kept same for everybody and rather it should be in accordance with person's field of work as it is said that "precaution is better than cure".
