University is place where students come to learn and chase their dreams. However, there are few mixed opinions when it comes out what to study which has been discussed below.
Nowadays, students have become more matured in choosing their career options. One of the key aspects is the interest of an individual which let students to make a choice. Interest really helps a student to excel well and at the same time he/she will be able to perform better. It makes them a quick learner. For instance, a student who has interest in computers should be able to perform more efficiently if he continues studying the same in university too. This will even help them to get away from the conventional careers choices too and make them more independent.
On the other side, some people think students should study the subjects which can help them in future. Learning the latest technologies/subject would always help them to stand out of the crowd and fetching a job quickly as they will be in demand. For instance, nowadays a student who has learn the web-based language would easily get a job as the sector is booming.
I believe student should be given a freedom on deciding on his career path rather than imposing him/her with the latest subjects. For instance, a student who would like to pursue his career in arts shouldn’t be compelled to study computers.
To conclude, students should be given a flexibility to decide what they would like to study as it would impact their career.
