Topic: Now a day for many people the Internet is replacing regular books. What do you think will happen in future and what is your opinion?

Since, the beginning of the mankind, efforts were made to document their struggle to survive. This document was to serve the purpose of a guide to their coming generations. Books are one such documented material and comes handy when need to learn, laugh and relax. However, this print media is on the verge of disappearance from the shelves with their availability in the form of digital books also called e-books through the Internet. This writing would like to opine on this trend and the future of the printed paper books.

To begin with, books are considered to be a best friend of a voracious reader and the best portable medium for them. Hence, it was a companion in our travel bags. However, with the advent of the Internet the need to carry them is not required. They can be downloaded and read via internet, and hence considered to be centrally available. Their accessibility time being very high coupled with cheaper offering in the form of e-books may substantially reduce the binded paper bundles in future. Moreover, this digital form would also reduce the number of falling trees for paper making and hence much likely to be widely accepted among the readers considering the environmental protection.

When considering the other side of this glorious story, there appears to be some discouraging facts. Since, the Internet is still considered a pretty new technology; its reach is yet to be established. Although, technically available, but the know-how of their usage and ease of access should have to be taught to every people around the nook and corner of the world. For example, a good proportion of readers are still living in remote areas of India, many middle-eastern and African countries. These communities yet may not be aware of this offering and should have to be informed and educated. Furthermore, the gadgets to access the Internet have to be made available to readers cheaply.

To conclude, this trend would help anybody with an appetite for books collection and their storage in an indestructible form, and hence the great writing can be kept alive for centuries to mesmerize the coming generations. Moreover, this form of digital availability of books through Internet will draw a young person, who loves electronic gadgets to explore this avenue. The Internet may replace the physical book form one day, but the pace at which this trend will took over this old age tradition, remains unpredictable. Though, a promising trend, but it is yet to gain momentum in every part of the world.
