woman empowerment

Post by amitsurani101 »

Some people argue that empowering women will have a deleterious (harmful) impact on society; others argue that it will improve the quality of their lives, both at home and at work.

This essay evaluates the impact of feminist movements on the social, political and economic life of women, and examines whether it has led to harmful effects like increase in juvenile delinquency or divorce rate.

Today, modern women have broken the shackles of socialisation and become more prudent in each and every field and the collective assertiveness of women has been in the direction establish their economic and political rights and their struggle for equal opportunities in career is also justifiable. As the step along with their aggression it has become natural to strive for equality with men, as edification has made them aware how they are/were deprived of the fundamental rights. Their efforts have empowered them in almost all sectors, ranging from the labour job, office work, science, communication, business entrepreneur and even the space applications have started leading men.

Whereas in India women have been bounded by the rules and customs and generally not free to travel, work or move around on their wish and secondly talking, choosing the life partner is again bounded by the socialised customs where cultural, social and religious restrictions allow the independence of choice too . We, today witness an enormous increase in juvenile delinquency which restricts their movement under supervision of family members and we do see many break up of relationship which also represents the dominance of the opposite sex, but attributing all these to feminism is not rational.

Agglomerating all the points elaborated above it can be concluded that, since feminism is the movement of women for equal rights with men, the earlier it is accepted the better it is.
