As it commonly understood, International event could make people much more closer making bond between nationalities. Moreover, It is believed that popular events release patriotism in a safe way, on the other hand, there are lots of accidents which shows that this "safe patriotism" rapidly become dangerous. So there are different arguments, that will be weighed prior in order to reach the reason conclusion.
Today many hold the idea that international events improve international communication. There are lots of example to demonstrate this issue. For instance, lots of visitors of such events need to communicate with residents, as a result it is not simple communication it is sharing their culture and experience. Furthermore, the same happens at higher level, as country which is event's holder communicate with another to improve event. It goes without saying that such events may give lots opportunity by establishing new cultural bonds and strengthen another ones. Thus, it is easy to see why this argument has granted a lot of support.
Contrary, there is an opinion, that events like the football World Cup could encourage competition not only among national team but among nationality. It is not a secret that lots of football games ended up with fitting between fans. It is obvious that fans are often asocial, that can make lots problems. Argument about "bad patriotism", which is "common disease of fans", is also supported by evidences. However, fans are people who are supposed to make problem everywhere, that should be take in account before international events.
After analyzing these point of view it might be agreed, that international events provide valuable benefits. Due to overweigh of advantages, without a doubt people should support such events, but paying attention on preventing fans' misunderstanding, which could provoke "bad patriotism".
