Hi,
Got my IELTS general result on 7th feb 2015. I am very disappointed with my writing. My score is L/R/W/S---->8/7/6/7.5.
Guys suggest whether I should opt for re-evaluation or not?
If I go for re-evaluation, is there any probability that my score can decrease?
Please share your suggestion/advice.

hello
please dont apply for re-checking, it will nt going effect your score bcoz you cant argue on two module WRITING AND SPECKING.
Its a waste of money, To my point of view its better to prepare for next exam by adding few money into the re-checking fees.

Welcome to the party! I chose to re-sit and extremely unhappy with the speaking score even though I am from a native English speaking country.

You can get a revaluation.... scores can be 'corrected' but if you got wildly different results in the four tests, there is a good chance that your writing as been flagged anyhow for rechecking so it was probably marked twice. In which case the chance is small for any change.
You could also go down in score. If you got a much lower score in one part of IELTS than your 'average level' it is likely you committed some error... for example in writing..... here are some of the key mistakes that drag your score down
Use clear paragraphs with a variety of joining and sequencing phrases: but don't be mechanical in how you use language … e.g. first, second, third etc.
Develop one major idea in each body paragraph
Have an introduction and conclusion of appropriate length
Use a variety of more complex vocabulary and grammar constructions – don't focus only on being correct, without also being varied in your expression
DO NOT write less than the suggested minium number of words – you will be penalized. Write at least 50 words more than the minimum.
Task 1:
If it is a graph or table, make sure you cover most of the key data, including not only the trends, but also some of the specific figures or numbers.
If it is a diagram, make sure you describe all the key stages of the process or key aspects of the change.
You should provide a clear overview of the data/trends/stages at the start or end of your response.
Task 2:
Task 2 is weighted more heavily than Task 1, so leave sufficient time to write a good response
Make sure you answer all parts of the question (analyse what you are asked to do carefully)
Provide example or evidence for your main points
Give an opinion and justify it
The scores on productive skills of writing and speaking are often worse than the receptive skills (L,R) and need more feedback from others. Good but long winded tips on speaking on youtube. search for ielts6plus on youtube
