Hi,
I am surprised that the exam questions were the same at 2nd October Istanbul, Turkey.
This was my 3rd exam and I fail 0,5 points on writing:( I need 7 on each.
In GT writing task 2 what was the type of the question? I wrote a discussion essay which states adv and disadv and gave my opinion at the end.

I appeared for today IELTS i.e. 02-oct-2014 India Pune. Following were the writing topic for General:

Task -1

You saw an article in the local newspaper about a restaurant which the author had visited and did not like it and this is your favorite restaurant. Write to the author of this article.

Ask him what he didn't like about it.

What is that you like about that restaurant.

What is your recommendation to others about the restaurant.


Task-2

Some people think that they should be given the option to work from home. Review both advantages and disadvantages of working from home and give your opinion.


Note: I don't exactly remember the topic but it was some what like above. Hope this helps all.

I have given my exam on OCT 2 in India. I did not get any update about the results.

I am still waiting and have no idea when I will have an update from IDP.

Did any one who wrote exam on 2nd oct got results. They are syaing that they will mail us hard copy. My qstn is from where they will post the hardcopy.will we get it from other country or will we get the test forms from india only ???

No ur not alone. I too appeared for 2nd October exam and so far IDP had postponed the results thrice. The next date is 7th of November. I am hoping that I will get the result atleast tomorrow. Btw: it is the usual stuff with IDP chaps - no one bothers answering the phone and all your emails end up in their junk folder...
