IELTS task 1

Post by thanhame »

The charts illustrate energy consumption and the amount of greenhouse gas emission for a typical Australian household by appliances.
Overall, it can be observed that heating contributes the largest share for both energy use and greenhouse gas production while cooling appliances is responsible for the smallest part.
Particularly for energy use, heating and water heating are the major energy consuming tasks as they are responsible for 42% and 30% respectively, followed by refrigeration at 7% and lighting at 4% of the energy bill. Cooling, meanwhile, responsible for a tiny portion of 2%. All other appliances account for 15% of the total energy use of an Aussie home.
Looking toward to greenhouse emissions, heating is the only appliance having a smaller percentage of the total share at 15%. Water heating only accounts for a slightly larger share in producing greenhouse gas at 32% comparing to its energy consumption. Refrigeration, lighting and cooling are all appeared significantly less environmental friendly than the previous two as they are responsible for 14, 8, 3 percent respectively, all noticeably larger than their energy use counterparts. The rest of the appliances, surprisingly, produce the second largest greenhouse gas portion at 28%.

Please give feedback and if possible, kindly provide an estimate IELTS band score that can be expected from this writing. I'm currently aiming for a 7.
