An original mock Academic IELTS reading exam

A small team of IELTS enthusiasts and I pulled this mock exam together a while ago, but I never got around to publishing it online. Find a quiet moment and give it a try! Post your score as a reply to this opening post. (And let me know if there are any typos I overlooked. ;)) http://www.ieltsnetwor...

My conversation with David, a band 8.5 success story

It was a true privilege to talk to David about his success. He's an articulate guy and had a few new study strategies I had never heard of (i.e. recording yourself using Whatsapp - brilliant!) Tune in to the entire conversation here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCoA-G2hBOA Audio version: http://...

Hi Luma7,

Congratulations! That is quite the jump in your writing band (6 to 7.5)! It looks as though your reading and speaking marks also experienced growth. How were you preparing for these sections? Are you planning to take the exam again or is this the grade you need?
